HR Metrics & Dashboards
HRCI Category: Strategic | Credits: 4 | $95
HR Metrics are the language of organizational management. If you do not speak the same language as your audience, you cannot influence. Metrics have become a requirement for any human resources department to show its value to the organization, but in order for metrics to be effective they need to be the right metrics and aligned with business objectives.
We all know we need to understand our current state of performance before we can look at a means to improve it. Measurement represents a feedback mechanism, indicating what’s working well and what isn’t. But the trick lies in figuring out exactly what it is you need to measure. You don’t want to be measuring the wrong thing. The intent of HR metrics is not to just evaluate the effectiveness or efficiency of the HR function, but to link the metrics to overall business performance.
If you are apprehensive about starting a metrics program, or are looking to raise the bar on your current measurement system, this course is for you. We will demystify HR metrics. Show you their benefits; and describe what differentiates a good metric from a great one. We will demonstrate how the “traditional” HR metrics don’t help much and how you can create metrics that answer questions and identify trends. We will then provide you with some tips for getting started and how to avoid the common criticisms of metrics. Finally, we will show you how to display this data through dashboards for executive decision-making.
After completing this course you will be able to:
