Primary responsibility will be implementing all phases of Sales and Marketing objectives. Develops and implement business strategies that maximizes exposure, financial impact and opportunities for Company products. Presents our Inflammation products to an audience of medical professionals specializing in the areas of gastroenterology, Rheumatology and other chronic inflammatory disorders. They will be required to demonstrate an excellence in applying business processes that lead to achievement of sales goals and objectives.

Job Results & Essential Functions

Territory Plans

Essential Functions
  1. Actively prospects for new business within assigned territory, and develops account strategies with District Manager (i.e., identifies key accounts, develops specific plans for penetration).
  2. Develops customer specific pre- and post-call plans that include objectives, probes and supporting materials.
  3. Achieves territory sales by executing Plan of Action (POA) marketing strategies, which includes delivering branded sales messages, executing planned programs and achieving or exceeding sales targets.

Strategic Relationships

Essential Functions
  1. Identifies opportunities and takes action to building strategic working relationships.
  2. Establishes productive business relationships with key local, regional and National KOLs within the geographical coverage area and assigned therapeutic areas.

Ethical & Compliant Sales Practices

  1. Ensures full and complete compliance of all selling activities within the area of responsibility to the standards of all State and Federal regulations.

Viewed as a Trusted Partner by Physicians

Essential Functions
  1. Effectively gains access via interpersonal skills to penetrate new and current accounts.
  2. Uses effective probing to identify needs and opportunities in "stand-up" and "sit-down" calls.
  3. Develops and implements approaches to in-service informational sessions and presentations.
  4. Appropriately utilizes all marketing tools and resources, including computer generated presentations, uses closing skills to move sale to next step (i.e., another appointment, in-service, patient identification, etc.).
  5. Effectively discusses reimbursement options with customers to enhance sales opportunities.
  6. Provides current and comprehensive clinical knowledge of products and effectively communicates the clinical and economic benefits of the products.

Position Qualifications

Minimum Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences or Business Administration (or additional 5 years pharma/biotech/medical device sales. Two (2+) years of sales and/or marketing experience within pharmaceutical, biotech or healthcare industries. Experience with injectable biologics/ oncology sales experience selling a product that is delivered in a doctor’s office and reimbursed through the medical benefit reimbursement channel. Product or hospital sales experience in the areas of oncology, nephrology, rheumatology and inflammation is highly preferred.

Candidates must have a valid driver's license issued in one of the 50 United States and a clean driving record.

• Demonstrated ability to deliver sales results.
• Advanced computer skills – MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint.
